📜 1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to Smart Scanner, developed and operated by Samriva Labs ("we", "us", or "our"). By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the Smart Scanner mobile application (Package: com.samrivalabs.smartscanner), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms").

If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not install or use Smart Scanner.

📄 2. License Grant

Samriva Labs grants you a personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to download, install, and use Smart Scanner strictly in accordance with these Terms for your personal and lawful business document scanning purposes.

🔐 3. User Content & 100% Data Ownership

Because Smart Scanner runs entirely offline without cloud uploads, Samriva Labs does not host, view, store, claim ownership of, or have access to any content you scan, edit, or store within the application.

⚖️ 4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Smart Scanner only for lawful purposes. You agree not to:

• Use the app to scan, create, forge, or distribute counterfeit identity cards, currency, or fraudulent legal documents.
• Attempt to decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble, or derive the source code of proprietary components except as permitted by applicable law.
• Modify, adapt, or create derivative works of the application branding, logo, or proprietary assets.
• Use the app in any manner that violates local, national, or international laws or the rights of others.

🔍 5. OCR & Algorithmic Tool Accuracy Disclaimer

Smart Scanner uses on-device Machine Learning (ML Kit) and heuristic algorithmic engines to provide text recognition, document classification, expense calculation, and sensitive data detection.

• No Guaranteed 100% OCR Precision: OCR accuracy is subject to camera resolution, lighting conditions, handwriting quality, font styling, and document condition.
• Verification Recommended: Users are advised to review and verify recognized text, dates, numbers, and expense totals before relying on them for critical legal, financial, taxation, or medical submissions.

💡 6. Intellectual Property Rights

The Smart Scanner application design, UI layout, visual assets, 3D graphics, logos, icons, and software architecture are the intellectual property of Samriva Labs and are protected under copyright, trademark, and applicable intellectual property laws.

⚠️ 7. Disclaimer of Warranties ("AS-IS")

SMART SCANNER IS PROVIDED TO YOU ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SAMRIVA LABS DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

🛡️ 8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SAMRIVA LABS AND ITS TEAM SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, DEVICE DAMAGE, CORRUPTED EXPORTS, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION ARISING FROM YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE APPLICATION.

🛑 9. Termination

You may terminate this agreement at any time simply by uninstalling and ceasing all use of Smart Scanner. Samriva Labs reserves the right to discontinue or modify the application at any time without prior notice.

🌐 10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws applicable to Samriva Labs, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
