2. Privacy by Design & Offline-First
No Account Required: You do not need to register, log in, or provide any personal details (like name, email, or telephone number) to use the core utility tools in Smart Tools: All in One. All calculations, notes, scans, and sensor reads happen 100% locally on your device.
3. Permissions We Request and Why
To enable specific hardware features, the app requests the following Android and iOS permissions:
A. Camera & Flashlight (CAMERA, FLASHLIGHT)
- Used for: QR Scanner, Barcode Reader, Digital Magnifier, Text Scanner (OCR), Flashlight & Strobe.
- Privacy guarantee: Camera frames are processed strictly in real-time on your device. No photos or video recordings are saved or uploaded to remote servers.
B. Microphone (RECORD_AUDIO)
- Used for: Sound Meter (Decibel Analyzer).
- Privacy guarantee: Used solely to compute ambient sound amplitude / decibel levels (dB). No audio is recorded, stored, listened to, or transmitted. Audio buffers are discarded immediately.
C. Hardware Sensors (Compass, Accelerometer, Magnetometer)
- Used for: Digital Compass, Spirit Level Tool, Metal & EMF Detector.
- Privacy guarantee: Sensor measurements are processed in real-time locally on your device and are never tracked or uploaded.
D. Biometric Authentication (USE_BIOMETRIC)
- Used for: Notes & Vault feature.
- Privacy guarantee: Handled securely by your device's operating system (BiometricPrompt / LocalAuth). We never access or store your biometric fingerprint or face data.
E. Storage / Photo Picker Access
- Used for: Image-to-PDF conversions, scanning QR codes from the photo gallery, and saving exported PDF files.
- Privacy guarantee: Only media files that you explicitly select are processed.
4. Third-Party Services
The Application integrates reliable third-party SDKs to deliver advertisements and AI features:
- Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads): Used to display advertisements (banner, interstitial, native ads). Google may collect pseudonymous identifiers (such as Advertising ID / GAID), coarse location, and ad interaction metrics. Learn more at Google's Advertising Policies.
- Google ML Kit: Used for on-device Optical Character Recognition (OCR). Image text recognition models run locally on your device.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
All user-generated content (notes, favorites, scan history, preferences) is stored locally on your device storage. You can delete individual items directly inside the app, or delete all app data at any time via your device's application manager or by uninstalling the app.
6. Children's Privacy (COPPA)
Our Application is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from children under 13.
